The red Bedford truck became an icon on the Darling Downs as Norman made his regular 'country runs'. He would regularly travel to Quinalow, Maclagan, Crows Nest, Gatton and Pittsworth.

Before the store opened, Norman would deliver stock in the famous red Bedford truck as part of his regular country runs. As he was nearing the end of his run, Norman would stay overnight in Cambooya because it was considered too far to travel back to Toowoomba.
